SEQUENTIAL ORAL SENSORY FEEDING (SOS)
At Beelieve Paediatric Therapy, we're on a mission to make mealtimes a delightful experience for your child and the rest of the family through our Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Feeding approach. We understand that feeding challenges can be a source of concern for both children and parents, and we're here to provide evidence-based support that truly makes a difference. With our SOS Feeding Therapy, we aim to bring the fun back to mealtime.
The SOS Feeding approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, offering a structured yet enjoyable path to expand your child's food horizons. Our primary focus is to promote feeding through play, allowing your child to explore and engage with food in a stress-free environment. We guide them through the SOS Feeding Therapy with steps to feeding, gradually increasing their food options, and nurturing a positive relationship with meals.
While Occupational Therapy plays a pivotal role in addressing feeding challenges, we understand that these difficulties can stem from various sources. At Beelieve Paediatric Therapy, we advocate for holistic care, recognising that your child's feeding journey may require collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. We work closely with your existing support network to ensure comprehensive care tailored to your child's unique needs.

Building Toileting Skills:
Practical OT Strategies for Home

Our current series focuses on supporting parents navigating picky and selective eating.
Across the 5 sessions, we explore:
-
Why picky eating happens
-
Why mealtimes can feel stressful and how to support regulation
-
Food play and building confidence with new foods
-
Mealtime routines, structure, and positioning
-
Gentle strategies to expand food variety at home
Each session includes short teaching, time for questions, and simple strategies to try at home between sessions. Families also receive handouts and access to recordings so they can revisit content anytime.
Toileting is a key developmental skill that can feel overwhelming for many families, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. This parent workshop series is designed to provide practical, evidence-informed strategies to support your child’s toileting journey in a way that is respectful, responsive, and tailored to their individual needs.
Across the sessions, we will explore the foundational elements that contribute to toileting success, including readiness skills, routines, positioning, sensory considerations, and environmental setup. Parents and carers will gain a better understanding of how these factors can support participation and confidence with toileting at home and in the community.
The focus of this PD is not on a fixed “method,” but on building understanding and equipping families with adaptable strategies they can trial in everyday routines. We will also explore common barriers that can impact toileting progress and discuss practical ways to respond in a supportive and developmentally appropriate way.
This workshop is suitable for parents, carers, and educators supporting children who may be beginning their toileting journey, experiencing delays, or needing additional support to build independence.
