Meet Rochelle
DIRECTOR & OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Meet The Team

Hello, I'm Rochelle, and I'm the lead therapist Beelieve Paediatric Therapy - occupational therapists on the Gold Coast. With over six years in the field, I embarked on my journey at Charles Sturt University in Albury, earning my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from 2014 to 2017. My fascination with working with children blossomed from a lifelong love of their inquisitive nature and the joy of engaging in play with them. During my university placements in paediatrics, I discovered that I could combine my passion for play with therapy to help children achieve their goals creatively.

Since graduating, my career has been a dynamic adventure. I started in Cairns, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team for Catholic Education in Queensland schools, gaining invaluable insights into how the education system works and the support available for clients. My career then transitioned into the NDIS space, where I honed my skills in evidence-based approaches to feeding, assessment, and intervention, with a special focus on clients with ABI, hemiplegia, and specific learning approaches such as the CO-OP approach.

The standout moment of my career has been founding Beelieve Paediatric Therapy. This endeavor allows us to offer quality services with personalised touches, outstanding resources, and a strong focus on each client's unique needs.

My philosophy in paediatric OT revolves around a play-based and strengths-based approach. We identify a child's interests and leverage them to address therapy goals in engaging ways. Collaboration with parents and families is central to our approach and setting goals to optimise outcomes and ensure everyone is working towards the same goal. We offer strategies that seamlessly integrate into daily routines, making therapy feel like a natural part of life

I work with children both with and without diagnoses, as early intervention is crucial for achieving goals. However, we also emphasise the importance of self-care and encourage families to take breaks during school holidays to prevent burnout.

I'm currently registered with AHPRA, Medicare, OT Australia, and trained in SOS Feeding, AHA assessments, and ADOS assessments. In addition to being an occupational therapist, I'm also a bonus mom to a wonderful little girl.

On a more personal note, I love bushwalks and waterfalls, adore dumplings, and enjoy the role of a bonus mom. Let's work together to help your child reach their full potential and create a brighter future filled with achievements and smiles.

Occupational Therapy adds life to days"

Hello, I'm Colleen, and I find immense joy in my role working with this team of occupational therapist on the Gold Coast. What I love most about working with the Beelieve Paediatric Therapy team is the opportunity to support entire families. Life can be tough for everyone, and being able to relieve some of the pressure for our clients in any way possible is incredibly rewarding.

My journey into the world of paediatric occupational therapy has been an evolution. With a background in various medical fields spanning 17 years, I've always had a strong desire to help people in any way I can. Most of my previous roles involved working with adults, which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, my passion for helping kids truly ignited when I joined Beelieve Paediatric Therapy. Working alongside Rochelle has been a transformative experience. We share the goal of providing children with opportunities to learn, grow, and become the best versions of themselves. Collaborating with parents and witnessing the positive impact on children's lives is both refreshing and energising.

My favourite part of each working day is when a new resource we provide to a family or a therapy idea we've been fine-tuning behind the scenes comes to life, and the kids thrive during their therapy sessions. It's incredibly fulfilling to see their development unfold.

I've been with Beelieve since its inception, working tirelessly to turn our idea into reality. I initially juggled two jobs, but now I'm proud to say that I'm fully committed to Beelieve, dedicating my time and passion to making a difference in the lives of the children we serve.

On a more personal note, I'm a dog person, and my furry friend's name is Milo. During weekends, you'll often find me bike riding, stand-up paddleboarding, and playing pickleball. In fact, I've developed quite the pickleball addiction, playing several times a week – although I'm far from being an expert! I'm not much of a TV or movie person; I prefer to be out and about, enjoying time with family and friends.
